Another tough one for me because I don't really have favorites! In fact, whenever I have to answer this question, I always have the same one. Anything written by Tamora Pierce. I honestly love her writing--hell, most of my books of hers (because I own a lot of them) have the spine all messed up with white streaks--AKA I'd been bending them often. I usually like taking care of my books so that I won't have those white lines of use. But hers I can re-read over and over again. Never mind the fact that they're Young Adult books--I still love them dearly. Unlike most people, I love the Circle of Magic series and want more of them especially now that they're growing/grown up. I think it's probably because the center of the story is a group of kids rather than just one person. But I love these books a lot. *___________*
- On Facebook, I've been playing Happy Aquarium and two of my fishes I named Yamapi and Jin. Earlier today, I had them mate and they had a baby girl named Gackt-chan. (Thanks to
crystallekil for suggesting it too! I wouldn't even have thought of it.) It made me ridiculously more happy than it should've though. lol
- Takeuchi Yuko was on Flash Forward!!! I'm totally tempted on picking it up just because of that.
- To real life, I had to drive today. T.T It was completely scary because it was dark and there were a lot of cars. And because I'm so horrible at driving, I TOTALLY FORGOT MY LIGHTS FOR AT LEAST TWO BLOCKS BEFORE GOING. HOLY SHIT, IT'S DARK ...WHY IS IT SO DARK. WHY ARE MY LIGHTS NOT FUCKING ON? ~_~;; And this is why I should never fucking drive. I'm horrid.
- Also on RL, I FINISHED A CROSSWORD PUZZLE. Granted it was a crossword puzzle on the AM newspaper (which is the easiest crossword I have ever come across), but this was the very first time I'd ever finished one of their puzzles!
- Caught up on House, CSI and last week's Supernatural (would've been this week's Supernatural as well, but it's on pause as I watch White Collar lol). First of all, Cameron's exit on House was AMAZING. I am so sad that she's leaving, but I do actually really like Thirteen. I'm only wondering what's going to happen since there's three people fighting for two spots. Who is House going to ultimately choose? (I know that Thirteen will definitely stay because there is always at least one girl on the team lol). As for CSI, I'm still annoyed at Langston's character. There's some kind of unfair treatment there--he keeps getting solo cases even though he's a lower CSI. What is that shit? IDK, maybe I'm just annoyed that Greg isn't getting much scenes. Also, THE LAST TWO MINUTES OF THE EPISODE WERE JUST THE MOST AMAZING PART! I mean, the CSI cast BOWLING. LAUGHING AND HAVING FUN. Even the Doc was playing with them with his cane. It was awesome. <3 And then I noticed that Greg was missing and as soon as I called it out, HE FREAKING APPEARED. WITH HIS OWN PERSONAL BOWLING BALL. AND HE PWNED AT BOWLING. IT WAS GREAT. I love how Nick was like, "it is on." <333333 As for Supernatural, I DIED WHEN I REALIZED IT WAS A CONVENTION. Talk about genius.
- And lastly, because this should totally be outside of a cut, I want Yamapi's con goods SO BADLY. That Uchiwa and the Clearfile and PHOTOS. a;sdkljaflsdjfl;kasjd WANT SO BADLY.

i've still barely scratched the surface of my paper (after accidentally NOT saving all the stuff, if paltry at best, i did yesterday.) so here i am. LOL. *will get off lj soon*
my thesis is going okay, since of course i'll always prefer fiction to research papers. ofc. 2/5 of the stories i'm currently working on are sort of near completion, which is good...though still not nearly enough for this semester. blarg. i hope your school year won't be too stressful, though. almost thanksgiving! thank goodness!
ALSO. this just randomly came to me since i think you're taking a writing workshop this semester (and probably/possibly next semester?) but would you be interested in an original fiction writing circle/group on lj? i've been tinkering with the idea for a bit now, since it would be really helpful for me during winter break, and i'm sure others might feel the same way?

Oh that's good!!! ::pat pats:: I'm sure you'll get the rest done. (especially if you know you have a deadline looming over your head, right?) I know right?! The other good thing about thanksgiving here is that it mean there's pretty much only a MONTH left of classes. lord knows i need winter vaca here soon.
Yes i am (taking a writing workshop this semester)! XD I'm taking two next semester since that's all i need left to graduate. The idea sounds interesting! What exactly would go on in it, out of curiosity? :D

anyhow! i was thinking it would work as any workshop would--depending on the number of people we have (i would prefer to keep it with close friends who also write well and write, well, more than fic--at least in the beginning) we would just post stuff weekly and have people give actual critique and criticism. of course, by posting to the comm they would be making a commitment to post critiques for a certain number of people, if not everyone. but that again depends on how many people we have. this is really all just a possible work in progress--but hey, we all know how well you take to random grand projects. ;)
