tinyangl: (news - shige/all hail)
So yesterday went from awesome to awesome-er. *__________*

I left yesterday's entry with a comment that I was going to fail my Psych test. But, when I took the test, it was surpisingly easier than I expected. Thankfully, I had studied like hell from the practice questions she had given us and in a test with 35 questions, about 3/4ths were from the practice questions! :D I only struggled with 3 questions and the rest I kind of zoomed through because I knew exactly what the answer was. PLUS of the "long" answers, we were to pick 2 of the 5 and thankfully I know 2 of the 5 exactly! (the other three i had no idea about so I kind of lucked out there. XD) It was pretty freaking awesome actually. I was the second person out of that classroom. ...And watch, I just jinxed myself. lol But for now, I'm going to live under the illusion that I freaking aced that exam. :D

Then after that was my prose workshop class which was AWESOME. (I like that word today.) It's a different way in workshopping in that my professor split us up into 5 groups of 4 and we'd workshop within those little groups. Sure, there's not as wide a variety of voices, but I feel like it's more intimate and because it's smaller, it's more likely for people to say what they feel instead of just saying something short and moving on to the next person. Which might be why I was a bit more critical and open about it without being very shaky. I mean, I didn't even have the usual butterflies I do when I'm about to be workshopped! I really like this method. (Although it's a little quicker to get through because we know what we want to say and it doesn't lead to further discussion via prodding from the professor. XD) Anyway, this session was all about memoirs and despite the fact that I could've recycled my piece from last semester, I ended up writing something entirely new. All about Prodigal Daughter actually which we all know is ripe with material. lol I got some nice comments though~ And I think as soon as I revise it I'll be submitting it into the memoir/personal narrative contest at school. :D I like it a lot more than I do my siblings memoir piece (mainly because oh god, there's too much there and not enough pages. lol plus i don't think my heart can handle it just yet lol). Next is a fiction piece! My favorite~ :D

That's about it really. :D Been trying to write more (like finish start my jewhiteday fic. XD I've had the idea brewing for days and days on end, but haven't even STARTED it. I am such fail). I'm just glad the creative juices are kind of active again. Hopefully this sticks till the end of the semester at least before I become all burned out again. XD

I hope everyone's doing great! :D

P.S. I'm so tempted to get the NEWS calendar but I don't know if it'll fit nicely on my table or not (if anything the KAT-TUN one would be more ideal for my table). Should I get it? a;sdlkfjasdklfj don't know if i should spend money!
P.P.S. I got my Yamapi con goods a bit ago but didn't get to flail about it yet. So here's my flail. OMGOMGOMGOMG HE IS SO RIDICULOUSLY HOT. *____________* I had gotten the clearfile and the "pamphlet." The pamphlet (oh please, it's a PHOTOBOOK pretty much) was gorgeous and shit, I was like I KNOW THIS PLACE AND THIS AND THIS AND GOD WHY COULDN'T I HAVE BEEN THERE JUST BY COINCIDENCE?! T.T Damn Yamapi and his stealthiness. As for the clearfile, I currently have it tapped (still in its plastic, mind you) to the top part of my desk so it's hanging right in front of me when I'm on my laptop. *________* What a thing to see when I'm on the computer. :D
P.P.P.S. OH ALMOST FORGOT. I have to rec fic! Riha had recced this a bit ago, but I had saved it in my tabs to read when it was nearing the end because, warning guys, it's multi-chaptered. And while I normally don't read multi-chaptered (even though that was my intro into fanfic in JE fandom), this I couldn't resist. I Wanna Be Your Secret by [livejournal.com profile] chasing_spring. It's a Ryopi, 26 (+ epilogue) chapters long--but it's finished otherwise I would've waited to rec it--with appearances by some K8 and NEWS members. It is brilliant and emotional and so good. I ended up reading almost the entire thing yesterday when there was one batch of chapters left to go so I was like a;sldkfjalskdjf yesterday wanting MORE, damnit. So yes, read it when you have time, because man it will suck that up like nobody's business. lol But still, AWESOME.
