[#016] "I bought my wife..."
Oct. 24th, 2010 12:51 am"...two presents for Christmas. Shoes and a vibrator. If she doesn't like the shoes, she can go fuck herself."
i. That was the cap to the Craig Ferguson show I saw today. *_____________* Well, actually, the cap to the show was him dancing to Britney Spears' "Oops I Did It Again." But at the start of the show, he said his dream was to tell this one joke in Carnegie Hall. So ofc, that meant when the show was ending, that would be the last thing he said. And it was THE BEST END EVER. *_________* In truth, the whole show was fucking awesome. I couldn't stop laughing from the very beginning and that wasn't even with Craig! There was a warm-up comedian before him, a Randy Kagan who was brilliant as well. He started picking on some of the audience members which carried his topics from grandmothers vs. young girls, to gay people (the rainbow, the military, this man in the front row that had on an apparently gay sweater). It was fucking HYSTERICAL. Then he left the stage and Craig came out--there was a bit of dancing at the beginning with the characters from the Late Show (the assistant with very little clothes and the black guy lol). And then he was on a ROLL. *_________________* I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. There was a lot of jokes about Scotland and their lack of talking/knowing about sex. He talked about Fabio getting hit in the face by a goose and how that was totally a sign God exists. Another example how God exists is the meeting of Siegfried and Roy (WHICH HE ACTED OUT LOL "I'm forlorn and depressed"). His son knowing about sex even though Craig himself had expected it to be a complete joke. His son and his swear jar. lol He talked about Kevin Costner's sex scandal back in 2005 (he HAD one?!) and sex scandals in general. Sex tapes and how he'd never really want to see one except for the JLo one and that's only because it's apparently 10 1/2 hours long lol. Just SO MANY JOKES. I can't even sum it up because it would be hard to remember most. ALL IN ALL, it was so worth the money and now I know that next time, I will definitely get a closer seat because i actually want to SEE him. lol (Also, even though I was so far--Center balcony--HE LOOKED AWESOME IN HIS GREY SUIT. *_________*) There was also a bit of crotch grabbing lol. At one point he did it for so long that I'm sure most of the audience was like ... wtf? His response, "I'm just doing it now because it feels good." a;lsdkjfalsjdflk I LOVE CRAIG FERGUSON SO HARD.
ii. This is actually the second show I've seen this week. On Wednesday I went with C to see Gonzalo Rodrigues Risco's dramatis personae which was also FUCKING AWESOME. A week before, we'd gone to see this really shitty interpretative dance show (or shitty just to me because I didn't understand it lol) so to see something SO GOOD, we were mildly surprised and SO PLEASED. ♥♥ It's this story about these three writers who get together to talk about these stories they're writing during a time when this big hostage situation was happening across the street from Lucas' apartment. And about how these stories are really connected to the authors' own lives. Brilliant, it was SO brilliant. And hysterical. SO FUNNY. I can't even say how much I so appreciated this. Plus it was about writers. You know I was all over that! If anyone ever has a chance to see this, they should because it is JUST SO GOOD.
iii. ....do i even have a point 3? um, i'll just stop here. lol (i am planning to do the rest of the drama meme or at least most of it in one go. i'm too lazy lol. XD)
