[#024] Finally catching up!

i. The title's in regards to the fact that for the past month, I haven't been doing much media watch--Japanese or American unless absolutely necessary. Thankfully, December's shaping up to be a lot TAMER than November and so, this weekend (or rather the past DAY) been catching up on stuff and I SERIOUSLY HAVE TO TALK ABOUT MY AMERICAN SHOWS.

Man, it's been way too long since I've talked about my shows. It kind of shows in my PARAGRAPHS OF TEXT. The shit. I'm so excited though! I have so many shows to catch up on and I can't wait to see what the midseason finales have to give me. :DDDD

ii. So... winter has been shit on me lately in that, I bundle up as much as I did any year before this one and STILL, I FEEL LIKE I'M FREEZING MY ASS OFF. Even stuff I'd usually wear in 0 degree weather isn't enough for me anymore. DDDDD: Stupid New York weather. That said, I'm contemplating heading over to Uniqlo today to try out their leggings/tights in hopes that their Heattech technology will be enough to keep me warm. T.T Has anyone had much experience with it? and if you have, can you tell me if it's good or not because leggings/tights are 20 bucks EACH so idk how much I want to splurge on just that.

iii. Speaking of spending money, Newegg is having their usual sales (this time for the holiday season) and just today, I saw a deal for a notebook that costs 350 bucks. Now, I can't decide whether I should settle for a notebook because 1) they tend to be cheaper than laptops (not by much but still) and 2) they're lighter to carry around. Now the second part doesn't really matter to me as much anymore since I no longer would have to bring it around to class, but that first one is REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME. o.o What do you guys think? Also, what would you recommend? I've had my Sony VAIO for 4-5 years now and it's been PRETTY DAMN good to me. Are there any brands/types/whatever this is that are good and stable?

iv. So C finally watched Long Love Letter this weekend and THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT. And she loves all the right characters (aka, Asami, Misaki, Yamapi, Yamada) and we talked SO LONG ON IT because I couldn't help but want to babble on and on about how much I adored that drama--what scenes were just so great. HOW ADORABLE ASAMI/MISAKI WERE TOGETHER (FOREVER MY DRAMA OTP!!! *_____________*) and all sorts of crap. But I laughed so hard that the one HUGE HUGE, OHMYGOD IT BROKE HER GRIPE--can you guess what it is? The ending, of course! The thing is she ended up missing the last five seconds that flashes from the desert landscape to green so I think that missing that actually misled her a bit. That said, lol it's really not that great of an ending in general so, her gripe totally makes sense. I'm just happy that she TOTALLY LOVES ASAMI/MISAKI. *___________* We spent so long talking about their scenes together and fangirling. Squee!!! :DDDDDDD

v. And lastly! Because I was watching this and totally recommend everyone to watch it if they haven't: Yamapi doing the King of Chickens challenge from Pussuma! It is my FAVORITE Yamapi appearance ever. :DDDD
