[#089] What.

I have to talk about this, because WHAT. THEY'RE MAKING A RANMA 1/2 LIVE ACTION DRAMA SPECIAL?!?! if it ends up being good/getting high ratings, i bet they make it into a full drama.

But all the details you need to know are here.

First of all, am I the only one that's slightly amused that the news article makes it sound like Akane is the lead of this? Maybe because it's Aragaki Yui who's playing her, but shouldn't the two Ranma leads be the main focus? (Which, btw, are Kaku Kento and Natsuna.) On one hand, I really like the idea of Natsuna playing a female Ranma. As far as I can tell from Gantz, she can do action/stunts and all that junk. Kaku Kento doesn't look like Ranma to me but that may just be the missing ponytail (at least as far as the Arama post anyway). lol But Gakki playing Akane? I just cannot see it. She did prove me wrong by pulling off Zenkai Girl, but as Akane? Don't know if it'll work. Also, wonder if she'll cut her hair since Akane's hair is short (ala Sailor Mercury) in the anime.

and omg, I just remembered, the manga/anime was super perverted. I wonder how much they're going to keep of that. and hey! at least natsuna could probably pull of being arrogant!Ranma who knows she has a banging body. XD

And I ALSO just remembered (as I'm gathering photos), didn't Aragaki say that Hanamizuki would be the last time she played a high school student? LOL. Unless they change the ages of the characters... Or last I remember, anyway, they were in high school.

Also, am SUPER CURIOUS who they're going to cast for the others. Like Shampoo!!! ♥♥ She was hysterical. Or the middle sister, Nabiki~ Important things, damnit.

Now that Ranma 1/2 has a live action (which I never thought would happen), what do you guys think is the next anime they're going to adapt?

In other news, I got only 2 and a half hours of sleep last night. I am ready to pass out right now. zzzzzzzzzzzz
