[#103] So. Fucking. Tired.

I cannot stress how exhausted I feel right now. Yesterday I went to MTV Iggy's Best New Band concert which featured Gyptian, La Vida Boheme, Yuna, and most importantly for the people in my flist, 2ne1! Somehow or another, C and I were chosen to be one of the 100 people that were able to go into the studio. I'M NOT ENTIRELY SURE WHY. All I know is that there were MASSIVE DAGGER STARES in our direction any time we moved anywhere.

We got to Times Square at around 11 something and so we waited around for HOURS until about 3 when they started to usher us in. It was kind of insane because there were two groups of people, those who would get to go upstairs (only 100 or so) and then those who were going into Best Buy Theater (aka where Jin performed!). At first, those of us who were going into the studio were like "wait, do we get to see the performances?" "are we going to be upstairs all the time?" "are we watching from SCREENS?!?!?!?!?" "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" because really, we didn't get any information at all. (They kind of failed in that department.) But we were apparently going to get "exclusive live interviews." which. to be honest, most of us were there for the 2ne1 performance, not an interview. We wanted to see them sing and dance! So yes, there was a little bit of MEH there.

And so we got upstairs. I got separated from C (just a little--she sat in front of me and we both sat next to utter complete awkward strangers). For some reason, there was a Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and STRANGEST, ELTON JOHN. We were like... what the fuck? why are ppl dressed like celebrities? makes no damn sense. Anyway, it turned out that yes we were going to be sitting upstairs for the majority and yes we'd be watching performances from screens. Which was DDDD: but then, 2ne1 was the first group to be interviewed, and you know what? NOBODY CARED AFTER THAT. BECAUSE THEY WERE RIGHT THERE. SO DAMN CLOSE THAT IT BEAT SEEING THEM ON STAGE--BECAUSE WE'D ALL PROBABLY BE IN THE BACK OF THE PIT AND NO, WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SEE THEM. THIS WAS 10 TIMES, MAYBE EVEN 100 TIMES BETTER THAN ANYTHING. ♥♥♥♥ it's too bad we couldn't take pictures because they were only two tiny rows in front of me (C only had ONE tiny row) and they were even closer than SHO was to me. Plus, when they passed by in the middle row, I WAS TWO PEOPLE AWAY FROM THEM. (mind you, i am not a 2ne1 fan--I don't really know them and I'm not into Korean music, but still! EXCITING!) So yes, it was kind of exciting.

They were the last to perform so we sat through La Vida Boheme, Yuna, and then Gyptian (in that order) and after each performance, they were interviewed in our studio. In hind sight, I'm really really glad we got to be in studio because we could SIT; there was no large crowd of people pushing against me, and I could relax! It was fucking awesome actually. BUT THEN. Right before 2ne1 were to perform, they told us, GUYS. WE CAN BRING YOU DOWNSTAIRS TO SEE THEM PERFORM. God, the mass mob riot whatever that was that happened after they told us? CRAZY. FUCKING PANDEMONIUM. I know that if they were more of a group I liked, I WOULD BE JUST AS FRANTIC. It was kind of hysterical though from the point of view of someone who's more of an outsider. Thoroughly amusing. So we managed to get to a spot in the back of the pit but before the seats area. It was elevated so that we could all see above the sea of heads that was the pit. which was awesome. C had an amazing view (which is all we needed since she's the huge 2ne1 fan) and I stuck to the monitor since I definitely could not see over anyone, lol. Got totally caught up and since C had given me 4 songs that she suspected they'd perform, I vaguely knew 3/4 of them! Pretty good guesses on her part~

All in all, it was an awesome night, exhausting as shit since we were there from like 11 AM to 6 PM. (ALSO, if you go to MTV Iggy's website and watch all the studio interviews, I'm pretty sure you can see either C or me. Probably just our backs but I skimmed through the 2ne1 interview and I could clearly see the back of C's head! :D Kind of awesome, huh?

I'm sure there's more I can add in, but too exhausted to think right now. XD (Maybe later I can grab C's videos from the 2ne1 performance and put them up. Don't hold me to that though because I'm more than often fail. lol)
