[#114] How are you guys?
Jan. 22nd, 2012 05:18 pmI'm good. In San Juan, Puerto Rico and all. :D
I meant to post before I left on Friday or Saturday morning, but I ran out of time and fast. Last Friday was possibly the most hectic day we'd had at work in the longest time. We had two researchers come in--one was a complete *insert preferable curse word here* and well, just plain annoying. He had us running around like nobody's business. To the point that we were like... WHAT THE HELL?! after he left. Seriously, least amount of fun ever. >.> And in between researchers, we, of course, had our own work that we had to deal with. After work, we had to take out money from the bank for the mentioned trip above. Which took us a little bit of time as well. Then C and I had made plans with our co-workers to drink a little (holy hell is co-worker!W absolutely crazy when you've gotten drinksand pot into her). It was definitely fun though. Then there was dinner after that at around 7 for Sh. It was actually a going-away party for her because she's moving upstate. DDDD: So even though C and I were hands-down exhausted, we were like, we can't MISS this. She leaves before we come BACK. DDDD: So there wouldn't be another opportunity to celebrate and whatnot.
So Saturday was my flight to PR! :D Except it was snowing up a storm. D: But my dad and I got to the airport (after picking up C and P, and then going back to C's place because she forgot her idea) around 1, which was 2 hours and a half before our flight! :D Our plane even boarded on time!! :D Except then we were grounded for like an hour, waiting for "our turn" to use the runway. It was kind of ridiculous. D: When we landed (finally), it was hot and humid here. Kind of a crazy temperature change especially after leaving snowy New York. >.>
Today, we chose to stay close to our hostel in Old San Juan and went to go see the two forts at the ends of the island. Dude, I am still exhausted. Granted, we started about 10:30 and only finally stopped moving at around 4 something. MY LEGS HURT. o.o but it's so gorgeous here. The colors of the buildings are all these pastels (apparently Spanish colonial style buildings here) and the water is this beautiful blue, almost green color that we can see crashing against the shore. We're all kind of anticipating our day at the beach because it is sure to be amazing.
Anyway, just wanted to write some things up. Let you all know I'm still alive in PR and that IT IS AMAZING. *______________* Now I am going to lie in bed for a bit before we possibly head to Paseo de la Princesa. ♥
