[#129] Birthday Celebrations!
Apr. 10th, 2012 09:23 amDespite the fact that my birthday was technically a week ago, I didn't get a chance to actually celebrate it until this weekend!
i. On Saturday, went to eat Korean BBQ at Kunjip which was fucking amazing (thanks to Ri and Riha for the suggestion). There were so many side dishes and we ordered three different bbq meats. It was the best meal ever. I would definitely not protest going again. We ate so much so quickly that I'm surprised we were even able to walk out of there. *___________________* And then afterwards, we went to karaoke. But not just any karaoke, a karaoke bar. Which had a stage. (We went to Radio Star.) It was so much fun. My group of friends only sang three songs technically (I ended up singing Moves like Jagger. Thankfully not on stage because FUCK, I was shaking in my seat as I was singing it. o.o) but we sang along to almost every song we knew. Hell, we were probably the loudest bitches in that whole entire place. That said, the group in front of us because pretty much our best friends. Any time they'd go on stage, we would be WHOOPING like nobody's business. And if we were on stage (I did in fact go up at least once--during Lady Gaga's Bad Romance), they would join us or cheer us on. IT WAS AWESOME. I had so much fun and I think it worked really well because of the group in front of us. So great. It's really too bad that we had to cut the night short on my account. DDDD: If I didn't have to go back upstate, I would've stayed much much longer. *____________*
ii. Then on Sunday was lunch with the family and C (she stayed over at my house this weekend) which was fun! It was Easter Sunday though so Palisades Mall had very slim pickings in terms of stores open. XD Otherwise, Sunday was very quiet. lol Doesn't make it any less awesome~ :D
P.S. Before I forget! Update on the sister pregnancy story. My sister came home with me on Saturday night after the celebrations. Parents saw she was pregnant (at 7 months, it's kind of obvious lol). Mom apparently talked to AR about it Sunday morning (OMG, SHE DIDN'T NEED ME TO TRANSLATE?! WHAT IS THIS WORLD--CAN WE STAY HERE FOREVER?!) and apparently, she wants 1) AR to move back home and 2) AR to give away her dog. lol The answer to both was no. XDDDDD But otherwise, there was no yelling; mom seemed excited at the prospect of a grandkid. AND OH HAY NOW I CAN TALK ABOUT IT WITHOUT BEING WORRIED SOMEONE WILL TELL MY PARENTS. LOL SOMEHOW--BECAUSE ALL OF YOU HAVE HER NUMBER ON SPEED DIAL. XDDDDD
iii. Um.... Media-wise, quick run through. Saw the movie Usagi Drop which was cute on Matsuyama/Ashida Mana's part. I couldn't believe this was filmed by SABU though because other than the random daydreams that happened like twice, it wasn't as bizarre as he usually goes. Granted, my knowledge of him are only his cracktastic stuff so he's probably done something more normal. Maybe. XDDDD It was cute. Shipped Matsuyama/Karina for a bit, but didn't think anything would really come from it. Although then Melissa told me what happens in the manga and I proceeded to get squicked out. XDDDD
Finished Saikou no Jinsei no Owarikatta. Um. 1) I called ghost. 2) Wish Yamapi had said at one point, "I see dead people." 3) LOLED OFF MY ASS AT IWATA SAYING HE HAS A CONNECTION (won't say exactly what because that's spoilery) BUT YAMAPI'S "EH?!" FACE WAS THE BEST. 4) Wish we'd seen more Yamapi/Eikura at the end, but what we got was cute. NOW GIVE ME FIC. 5) Um. I don't have a five. I just thought it'd be a good number to end on.
Then I saw two drama SPs: SPEC and Unfair. First the Unfair one because it was pointless in the scheme of things. (Oh wait, I saw the Unfair Movie too. That'll be after.) It was nice seeing Kitano Kii; it sounded like she dropped her voice for this role? But I could be mistaken. Otherwise, whatever events happened here really didn't connect to the movie. Which, btw, ;alsdkjfalskdjflaskdjf So much anger at that ending. I don't even want to talk about it because I'm rather annoyed. I get that now Yukihira has all the power, but it's still fucking frustrating as hell. Especially when we see who the villains are. I knew 2/3. That 1/3rd though was the FUCKING MOST ANNOYING THING EVER. DDDDD: I hated it.
As for SPEC, I wish I'd waited until I knew I could watch the movie, because it was damned amazing that the wait for the movie is now just painful. It was kind of that epic. We find out Touma's SPEC, we see it in action. We have this crazy-ass case. We see all these people we've seen before. We see the connection between Touma/Sebumi get stronger. IT IS JUST PERFECT. A;LSKDJFALKSDJFKASJDF I cannot even begin to tell you how much you need to see this if you haven't. And by this, I mean the whole entire series because it's perfect. I mean, even Masi Oka wants to bring it to America! (Although an American!Touma will probably be nothing like Touma. Just saying. >.>) That said, I'd be interested.
I almost forgot to add: Gossip Girl. DAIR IS PERFECT. PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT. And they are going to ruin it somehow, but until then, CAN WE HAVE BLAIR REMAINING HAPPY AND SMILY. AND DAN BEING AN AWESOME BF? AND THEM ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT THEIR ISSUES AND BEING HONEST? That would be great, thanks. *_____________* (Serena was a grade-A bitch in this ep. What a damn hypocrite. I don't even care much for Lola, but the way she was treating her was MESSED UP. >.>)
Okay, that's it for me! Back to work I go. D:
