[#146] Time Flies
Jul. 1st, 2013 08:59 amWow. How has it been over a month since I last posted?! I meant to post (as always), but this whole month has been absolutely ridiculous and I really do feel like I haven't been able to catch my breath.
Things that have happened since my last post: (I really should post my mini-scrapbook for this year, because I've forgotten most of what's happened, whoops.)
- Brother graduated high school. SOB. WHAT IS THIS. He was valedictorian of his class (which, guys, no surprise there) and did his speech and quite honestly, I adored it. He did an amazing job and it was great seeing him there and being acknowledged for how awesome he is. I am super super proud of him. :)
- Baby!Naomi turned one and we threw a HUGE PARTY for it. (No like seriously, there were so many people and we ordered 26 trays of food and MOST OF IT WAS GONE BY THE END OF THE NIGHT. it was crazy.)
- Mom's birthday passed and we threw another party, two weeks after the last (oh hay it was yesterday)
- Cousins came to the house to stay; the ones from Norway are actually still at the house and aren't leaving until Wednesday.
- I have been working straight days which is irregular for me. T.T I work part time so I usually like to spread out my days, but because of circumstances, have been working days consecutively. which i hate because my commute already leaves me exhausted, and I am dumb and always seem to sleep late which means I get less hours every night. WORST IDEA EVER. D: That said, I'm working three days straight this week, but I don't mind it much because it means FOUR DAY WEEKEND OF UTTER REST. SOBBING. I am so excited for this. T.T
- I got to do one of those touristy tour buses in NYC this past week! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Never mind that it was on the two hottest days of the past week. IT WAS STILL KIND OF AWESOME. I mean, at some points I was just so tired that I was nodding off, but still. I've always wanted to ride one and be all touristy. :) It was also just really informative. I don't know much New York history so it was entertaining hearing when things were built and so-and-so. It reminded me that NYC has just so much history and i kind of want to learn more. :)
Other than that, am just at work and trying really hard not to sleep at my desk. lol. Boss is coming in late, so excited for the slow pace of the morning until then.
