i. I noticed something interesting last week. I was getting off at my bus stop in the morning and noticed a business man who was carrying nothing but a newspaper. He folded the newspaper up in half and then shucked off his blazer. Reaching back, he tucked the newspaper inside his pants before putting the blazer back on. Then with his now free hands, he pulled out a cigarette and lit it up.

Something about that just amused the crap about me. I don't know why, but I thought, holy shit, that's ingenious. Way to totally eliminate holding something but still keep it. I laughed to myself a little. (C just thought he was lazy--which is probably true as well, but still.)

ii. So I totally gave up on the Nov writing meme 3 days in. dies. It's more that I didn't expect to have to be prepared for this--which I guess is my own stupidity, but man, it shouldn't be like prying the words out of my brains in order to write. So I'm just going to have to do it again next year and now I know that, fuck, I need to be more ready for this because so difficult. That said, I've been trying to finish outstanding projects instead, hoping the burst of inspiration will carry on to writing new stuff. Let's see how that'll work. ~_~

iii. Also managed to finish two dramas since last I posted! I mentioned this last time, but I had started Haikei, Chichiuesama and was okay with the drama up to the ending. Honestly, it really is a huge slice-of-life story, but holy shit, way to go out with absolutely nothing. I guess it makes sense in that life never has closed endings or like endings that seem final, but we went through the entire thing wondering who his dad was, and well, yes, he doesn't need the information to live, BUT I WANTED TO KNOW SO BADLY. ://// Also, I still don't really ship Nino/Meisa after this--even though his interactions with her were adorable because Nino was just awkwardly adorable IN GENERAL. I love that they commented that she always looks like she's glaring at everything because sometimes, I totally feel like it's Meisa's face that makes her seem like she's glaring at everything, snicker. Um, Yoko was awesome, but he's not enough to watch this. Idk, I was just really disappointed in how they wrapped everything up--or the lack thereof.

I also finished Nihonjin no Shiranai Nihongo which I adored. Naka Riisa was pretty brilliant in this and even though I don't agree with her fashion that often, she looked adorable nonetheless. The last episode had me totally wibbling especially with the montage of her remembering her students thanking her and calling her sensei. It was actually rather moving and I just enjoyed the transition of that class into the close-knit unit they'd become. I LAUGHED at the ending when she comes back because you realize that LOL, her whole class (minus Paul) had failed. I died. But then Paul comes back (even though he passed) because he wanted to graduate TOGETHER with them. I ADORE PAUL TO BITS AND PIECES. :DDDDDDDD

iv. So my family's been having issues with our first car, a Honda Odyssey and we've been contemplating getting a new car to replace it. I've long told my family that I cannot stand the minivans we keep getting because the large size actually kind of SCARES me. T.T We've been tossing around the idea of getting a Honda Civic (Honda because we're apparently a Honda family considering our other car is a Honda Pilot) but it hasn't really been talked about much other than "oh it costs this much" and "it has these features," etc. But this morning, apparently the car hasn't even been MOVING that well which scares the shit out of me because I have to drive it tonight to pick up my mom so I guess that got a fire moving under their asses. My mom called me, telling me the options (mainly because I told her if we got a sedan, i'd help pay for it--since I bet I'd be driving it more often lol) and apparently we could either lease it for 3 years paying 195 per month or pay to own it, paying 300 per month for 5 years. If we lease it, there's still an option to buy it at the end for like 10,000 or something like that. So idk. Which sounds better. I'd love the 3 years, paying 195 but at the same time, tack on another 100 and we could own it after 5 years. Granted it's 2 extra years of paying for something, but idk. It feels more worth it? Our Odyssey lasted about 10-11 years so... we've had that one for like EVER. IDK. What do you guys think?

v. A conversation I heard at Central Park regarding Belvedere Castle between parents and their child:
Mom: Remember? That's where you saw Santa last year?
Dad to kid: Oh? You saw Santa there? Does he live there?
Mom: No, I think he was just visiting for the day. Rudolph had some friends at the Bronx Zoo.
I just thought that was ridiculously cute.

Speaking of Central Park, I'll have pics in my next post! My dad's on small family trips to places he can take picutres mood, lol. So I have two family trip photos to post up! :DDDDD Plus any other misc pics I've taken on my phone lol.
