i. Guys, you know me. You know I have totally declared myself cold-hearted at times because it's really tough to get me to cry about something. I get sad, yes, but to physically cry rarely happens. (Even if lately I've been able to do that a lot more often.) Because of this, I can gauge how well a movie/drama gets me emotionally invested. I just watched A Girl That Leapt Through Time, the live action movie with Naka Riisa and I BAWLED LIKE A BABY. IT IS FUCKING AMAZING.

First thing's first though, the summaries all around are very lacking in detail and I thought this was totally going to be just like the anime/manga. It wasn't. Instead of focusing on the girl in those series, this takes place in the future when she's a mother and Naka Riisa plays her daughter, Akari. Her mom, Kazuko, gets into this accident and Akari vows to get this message that Kazuko wanted to get to this guy that is in a picture with her, a Fukamachi. Kazuko had made the elixir (two vials worth) that would help her travel through time and they worked. Akari manages to go back in time, except two years after when she should've, landing in year 1974. And that's where the story takes off. cut for spoilers. )

Long story short, it is an amazing movie. go see it. GO SEE IT NOWWWWWWWWWWWW.

ii. I got my Kindle today! I am so excited to play with it. This morning, I checked the tracker again and saw that it was finally in Nanuet so I was anxiously waiting all afternoon for the UPS truck. AND IT CAME. And I already have it nicely organized with the (free) books that I had dled a while back so yay to that! ♥ It's kind of strange how excited I am to READ lol (oh shit i can even put personal documents in it. DOES THAT MEAN I COULD TOTALLY READ FIC ON MY KINDLE? DYING.)

iii. Predictably, meme! :D Day One: Write ten lines of dialogue between two characters who had drunken sex last night and are not talking about it. Ever.
Day Two: Write a scene in four sentences in which two characters bond over something that would seem trivial to a passerby.
Day Three: Write seven sentences from the perspective of a passerby witnessing Day Two's scene.
Day Four: Write a character's reaction to someone's love confession in one sentence.
Day Five: Write a scene in eight sentences in which someone's going through his/her version of "It's a Wonderful Life."
Day Six: Write a scene in six sentences in which a character is searching for someone in the last moments of the end of the world.
Day Seven: Write a breakup scene in three sentences without giving the reason for it or using dialogue.
Day Eight: Write two characters' second kiss in two sentences.
Day Nine: Ask flist for prompts. Write one sentence each for the first five prompts you receive.
Day Ten: Use these lyrics as a prompt: "There's only now/There's only here/Give in to love/Or live in fear" ("Another Day" from RENT) and write a story in nine sentences.
(Super Bonus Challenge: Use a different pairing/character each day.)
