[#136] My Mom Almost Made Me Cry Today
Aug. 9th, 2012 12:17 amAnd I can actually say in a GOOD way.
i. You see, about three weeks ago, I got into a minor car ...i don't want to say accident because it really was NOT a big thing. I was backing out of a parking spot and scratched the car to the left of us. So you know, issues and insurance, and paying and loads of things happened in that time. My parents were on vacation (which is why I was driving in the first place--I do not drive in normal times) so it took a while before we took care of it. Yesterday, there was some shit that happened and my mom spent a good 5 minutes yelling at me over the phone about how I dealt with everything wrong and that I should know better and essentially, made me feel like crap as I was outside in Central Park with mostly strangers around me. It was pretty horrible. (She's given me the same spiel like three times by now.) And so yeah.
Then today, it turns out that "the worst scenario" did not happen and in fact, we pretty much are at the "best scenario" which is fucking fantastic. I cannot even begin to tell you guys. But because of that, my mom doesn't seem as angry at me (if at all). Which is probably why she dropped around my presence (because of course she could NEVER say this shit to me) that I was actually a good daughter. First was in the car as she was talking about her convo with my godmother and how my godmother said that I was a good daughter, and my mom agreed with her. (TEARS.) Second was when I was in her bedroom taking care of something while my mom was taking care of Naomi. And she was talking to her and said, "Be a good girl like your Tita Angelie (my 2nd first name). Be honest, be nice, and respect people." At first, I totally thought I was going crazy because, what. did she really just say that. Did my mom just compliment me in a very round-about way? It didn't really hit me how much I needed these words until I was typing out my tweet. I almost cried. I cannot even with this.
So yeah. I, um, yeah. That was big for me.
ii. Yesterday was AMAZING. I went to see Shakespeare in the Park for the 5th year in a row--it was the play Into The Woods and one of the main attractions was Amy Adams!!!! *_______________* Girl!J came to wait with me in line and it was a REALLY nice day! Not just the company, but the weather was beautiful. The most amazing day to have to wait out for an annoyingly amount of hours. *__________* The play itself was TOTALLY fun. Afterwards, we all had the song "Into the Woods" stuck in our heads--with good reason since they repeat it like 6 times, lol. The Red Riding Hood/Wolf parts were kind of ... sketch, but yeah. The princes were assholes--funny, but seriously dicks. And Cinderella/Witch had the most AMAZING voices. All in all, so good.
The only problem is that afterwards i was SO SORE and TIRED and omg, today I could barely move my legs. I didn't even want to bloody MOVE. T.T
iii. Uh. Things. I really don't have a three. (oh! I have a three. I'm obsessed with the drama Rich Man, Poor Woman? I mean, i cannot believe i have been home for a few hours already and HAVEN'T WATCHED THE 5TH EP YET. oye.)
P.S. West Point cousin is coming to stay with us again this weekend! Girl!J mentioned she wanted to meet him so I told her to sleep over too. It'll be interesting, lolol.
P.P.S. I REALLY REALLY WANT THIS DRESS BADLY. UM. MY GOOGLE-FU IS NOT WORKING BUT IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE IT IS, THAT WOULD BE AMAZING. *__________________* IF I COULD GET IT, I WOULD DIE SO HAPPILY.
