[#010] I'm so boring...
Sep. 9th, 2010 05:33 pm...I bore myself. XDDD In other words, life has been rather bland. I can't even remember what happened in the past couple of days, lol. I guess some media stuff!
i. I FINISHED JIN. It ended almost as awesomely as it started--well minus the fact that it didn't really answer the beginning question of how Jin-sensei even got to the past. Whether it was all in his head or what. What happens in the future, the like. But there's going to be a second part in Spring 2011, so I'm patiently waiting until that before I scream at them for not answering my QUESTIONS. lol But really? This drama has some of my favorite female characters in Saki and Nokaze. They are such strong females--Saki for even turning down the proposal offer when it was too late to properly turn it down just because she knew her right place wasn't married off (at least not at that time) but by Jin-sensei and aiding in his operations. I LOVED HOW THAT SCENE PLAYED OUT. You saw the brother totally BLOW UP at her, but essentially it was all to cover her so she could dash to Jin's side. I LOVED IT. a;lksdjfldjflakjsd Plus Nokaze. There's something about her character that's so painful but so enriching, because she believes in "her place." but she also knows there's so much more--and the ending where she's trying to make a study school or whatever it was, I was just like YOU WIN, HONEY. <3333333333 All in all, OMG, I RECOMMEND THIS DRAMA SO MUCH. I fell in love with it so hard to the point that I marathoned it in TWO DAYS. *______________*
ii. I also watched two Japanese movies: Daiteiden no Yoru ni and Crows Zero. Daiteiden no Yoru ni was a movie about what would happen if Japan had a massive blackout akin to the one New York had YEARS ago. It was... whatever. I was just not invested in most of the characters and there were so many storylines that it actually was really difficult for me to figure out whose tied in with whose. If anything, the only storyline I wanted SO MUCH MORE was the one between Hongo Kanata/Kashii Yu because LOL, chibi!
Hongo Kanata bringing Kashii Yuu around to places she wanted to before this big operation was just adorable.and okay, i may have shipped that. cough.
As for Crows Zero, THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT. Even with all the damned violence. It was just awesome watching all the action and well, I may also feel like it's been forever since I've seen Oguri Shun in anything. But yes, I did enjoy this movie--it wouldn't be for those who are thoroughly disturbed by blood and fighting and... well, I still can't understand why this kind of school even exists, but whatever. I was all about enjoying it really. That said, because I watched this right before bed, I totally had a dream in this kind of world starring ARASHI. But it was only a movie because I know at one point in the dream I was reading something about it and there was a "highlight this if you want spoilers" thing and lol, at first I resisted, but I am a spoilers whore like nobody's business and ended up reading that Ohno dies in the movie. XD which he did a minute later in the actual movie. LOL i can't believe i dreamt myself watching a movie, how sad is that?
iii. Day 01 → A drama that should have had another season | Day 02 → A drama that you wish more people would watch | Day 03 → Your favorite new drama (this season) | Day 04 → Your favorite drama ever | Day 05 → A drama you hate | Day 06 → Favorite episode ofyour favorite any drama | Day 07 → Least favorite episode of your favorite any drama | Day 08 → An underrated drama
Day 09 → Best drama scene ever
This is a hard one because there are a lot of shows that have scenes that I absolutely adore, but the scene that really comes to mind for me has to be from Long Love Letter. Even just remembering it, my body went hot and cold and no, it isn't going to be the dream sequence from Asami but the rain scene at the end of episode 8 (I think?). I will wibble to the end of the world whenever I see/remember this scene because it's so emotional, it's so powerful and it grips you when you see these kids rejoicing at rain falling down on them. It's such an achievement and it almost washes out the pain they had up tot his point. And just so much about this scene is love. (oh hay look! I found a picspam of that scene! also, WHY DO I STILL NOT HAVE A LLL ICON. ~_~)
Day 10 → A drama you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving | Day 11 → A drama that disappointed you | Day 12 → A drama episode you’ve watched more than 5 times | Day 13 → Favorite old drama | Day 14 → Favorite male character | Day 15 → Favorite female character | Day 16 → Your guilty pleasure drama | Day 17 → Favorite drama SP | Day 18 → Favorite title sequence | Day 19 → Best drama cast | Day 20 → Favorite kiss | Day 21 → Favorite ship | Day 22 → Favorite drama finale | Day 23 → Most annoying character | Day 24 → Best quote | Day 25 → A drama you plan on watching (old or new) | Day 26 → OMG WTF? finale | Day 27 → Best first episode | Day 28 → Saddest drama moment | Day 29 → First drama obsession | Day 30 → Current drama obsession
